comport (verb)
behave; conduct oneself.
You comport yourself with dignity when you behave in a dignified manner. 'Comporting herself in a decent manner, she wins the appreciation of all.' This means that she behaves very decently, so everyone appreciates her. When a person comports themselves respectably, they get the respect of all.
Anita comports herself so well, that the way she behaves, many say, is a lesson for all young ladies out to make an impression in society.
