abhor (verb) hate strongly.

Hating a person, something, a way of behavior, a line of thinking, etc., is abhorring. For example, we abhor doctors who just for the sake of money, put us through a number of unnecessary tests. We abhor the senseless killing of innocents and mindless destruction of property by terrorists. We don't like a person getting drunk - we abhor his drunkenness.
