aesthetic (adj) related to beauty and art; being able to appreciate beauty; artistic and beautiful.

When you have the ability to enjoy beauty in an object, picture, scenery, a person, a beautiful work of art, such as a sculpture, painting, etc., you have aesthetic sense. If you are sensitive to beauty you have aesthetic sense. An interest in whatever is beautiful is an evidence of one's aesthetic taste. A taste for beauty and art is aesthetic. An object is aesthetically shaped, if it appeals to us and attracts us. A woman tastefully dressed, is considered to have aesthetic sense.

  • The antique furniture on show in the palace, though has aesthetic appeal, does not appear to be of much utility.
  • The art gallery where the painter's work is being displayed looks very aesthetic, as, besides the paintings, the decoration of the gallery has also been tastefully done.
