agnostic (noun) one who thinks it is impossible to know whether or not God exists; one who is neutral about God's existence.
People who are uncertain about God's existence, and reject revelations, miracles, etc., as an evidence of it, are agnostics. The Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, was an agnostic, and preached agnosticism.
- Our professor of philosophy, who is an agnostic, dismisses all spiritual and mystic experiences as so much of nonsense.
- Some persons think that agnostics are bad. This, however, is wrong because a person's denial of God or doubting the existence of God, by itself, need not necessarily make them bad.
