anemia (noun) a lack of the required number of red blood cells which makes a person pale and weak; usually called bloodlessness.

The red blood corpuscles and white blood corpuscles are red and white colored cells in blood. A deficiency in red blood cells causes anemia in a person. As a result the person looks pale and feels very weak. In the language of the layman it is normally called bloodlessness, which exposes people to health risks.

  • Because of anemia, Phillips not only looks pale and weak, but is also exposed to the risk of other infections which can turn fatal.
  • Paul's anemia makes him dull and too weak for any activity that requires strenuous exertion.
