An auspicious moment is a moment, which we believe indicates success or augurs well for us. An occasion, an object, the arrival of certain persons, the birth of a baby, etc., sometimes make us feel that they are indicative of something good going to happen, or that they may bring us luck. Such things, events, etc., are considered auspicious.
