beholden (adj) indebted; grateful.
When anyone does a favor to you, you feel beholden to them. That is, you feel that you owe them something and that you should return their favor by doing something for them. A person who feels that they have a duty to someone from whom they have received some help or favor, is beholden to them. 'I am beholden to you for the interest you have taken in getting me a job.' This means, I am obliged/indebted/grateful to you for getting me a job.
