bizarre (adj) strange and unusual; violently contrasting with the normal.
When anything is different from the normal in a very strange manner, it is bizarre. The strange and fantastic shapes of imaginary and fearful animals that we see in ancient and tribal sculptures are bizarre. That is, they are strangely different and unusual in a way, and are totally difficult even to imagine. Horror and science fiction movies have bizarre incidents and episodes which appear very strange and different from reality. Ghosts walking out of graves, humans suddenly changing into animal forms, and vice versa, are all bizarre, because they are the unusual products of imagination.
