cache (noun) a place where a number of things, especially food and weapons, are hidden; the things so hidden.

A place where a large quantity of things, especially food, stolen goods, and most importantly weapons, are hidden. 'The police chanced upon a cache where they found a big quantity of food and some guns.' This means that the police, by chance, found out a place where these things were hidden. The goods so hidden, like food, stolen money, weapons, etc., are also called a cache.

  • As the police trailed one of the hoodlums, they were led to a cache where they found large bundles of currency and weapons.
  • A large cache of currency and sophisticated weapons was discovered by the army when it raided the camp of the terrorists deep in the jungle.
