certitude (noun) a feeling of certainty; being sure of something.

You talk with certitude of something, when you are sure of it. If you say with certitude, for example, that New York is an enjoyable city, you are sure that one will certainly enjoy their visit to the city. When someone says with certitude that you will enjoy the food in a certain restaurant, they are sure of the food there being good.

  • The certitude with which he speaks of the beauty of Paris is due to his good knowledge of Paris, which he visits every year.
