The way a person arranges their hair is coiffure. How you arrange your hair, whether you have long hair flowing down the back of your neck, or short, whether a woman has bobbed hair, or whether she arranges it in coils, plaits, or just combs up, parts in the middle, or has a band around it - all this is coiffure. We call coiffure hairdo also.
