conglomeration (noun) a number of different things found together; the process of forming a conglomerate.

You see a conglomeration when you see a large number of different things gathered together. A conglomeration of buildings is a large number of different kinds of buildings at one place. A large gathering of people important in someway is also a conglomeration. A number of companies joining to form a large company is a conglomeration, and the company so formed is a conglomerate. The process of forming a conglomerate is also conglomeration. That is, a merger of number of companies to form one big company is a conglomeration.
