To demonstrate tricks of magic is to conjure. When a magician conjures an object, they make it appear and disappear as they wish. One of the standard tricks of magicians is to conjure a rabbit out of a hat. That is, they make the rabbit pop out of the hat. When someone calls up a ghost or a spirit by uttering mysterious words, they conjure up spirits. Some people claim to have the power of calling up the spirits of the dead from their graves. When they do this they conjure up the spirits. A sight, sound, etc., might make you remember a similar sight, sound, etc., you have experienced in the past. When that happens, such a sight, sound, etc., conjure up your past experiences.
