conveyance (noun) vehicle; movement from place to place.

When someone asks you, 'What's your conveyance to and from office?' what they want to know is, how you go to your place of work and return, whether you go by bus, train, or automobile. If you go by car, that is your conveyance. If you use a two-wheeler, that is your conveyance. The movement of goods from place to place is also conveyance. Trucks transport goods from place to place, so, trucks are used for conveyance. Freight cars are also used for conveyance, that is, freight cars carry goods to places.

  • Horse-drawn carriages are outdated as conveyance. Facilitating speedy transport, automobiles are the widest used means of conveyance of the present times.
  • Ships are the best when it comes to the conveyance of large and bulk goods across the oceans to different continents.
