A person who is craven is a cowardly person, who lacks courage completely. A craven person cannot stand up for anything or against anybody boldly. They cower and shiver even in situations demanding just a little boldness. They cannot stand up boldly for what they believe to be right. Craven people are not comfortable with their superiors even in ordinary circumstances, nor can they assert themselves with their subordinates or inferiors.
