When a person is dauntless, they are courageous and daring. They make nothing of facing any challenge. Even the most dangerous task cannot daunt them, that is, frighten them from attempting it, because they are dauntless. They are free from fear, and are very confident. 'Dauntless, Samson (the Bible) faced the lion boldly and killed it.' This means he had the courage and confidence to fight the lion and kill it.
