The demolition, usually of a building, is to break down a building completely or level it, so that, a new building may be built in its place or the place left vacant can be used for any other purpose. Destroying a building is also demolition. The demolition of an argument is proving it wrong. When the defense counsel proves the prosecution wrong, it is a demolition of the prosecution's argument.
