disembark (verb) to get off a ship or a plane.

When passengers get off a plane or a ship at the end of their journey, they disembark. When goods are unloaded from a ship on to the shore they are disembarked.

  • The man the police were looking for was not among those who disembarked from the ship, and were walking on to the shore.
  • As soon as he disembarked from the plane, he rushed to the conference venue, without checking in at the hotel as the plane had reached the place half an hour late.
