Hatred engenders hatred; that is, our hatred of others causes others’ hatred of us. Love engenders love, as, if we love others, they love us. Our love for them leads to their love for us. Racial differences engender tensions; that is, difference of race causes tensions between the members of the races. Social inequalities engender fights.
