febrile (adj) feverish; very active, nervous, and excited.

A febrile condition is a condition caused by fever. You feel very weak, uncomfortable, and feverish if you are febrile. You may run a temperature and feel aches all over the body if your condition is febrile. When you are active and excited about something, you may imagine strange things; you may see strange things in your imagination. This is febrile imagination. A febrile condition may also cause you to be nervous.

  • The doctor advised Sam against moving his wife Ann to a different place, in view of her febrile condition causing her a lot of discomfort and a high body temperature.
  • David's febrile imagination often makes him view things in a strange manner and it results in his odd behavior.
