A great writer or speaker has felicitous expression; that is, their choice of words and phrases is always very suitable for the occasion and their ideas are expressed effectively. If your choice of career is felicitous, the choice is correct. A party's choice of a candidate for an election is felicitous, if the candidate chosen is the right candidate.
