felon (noun) person who has committed a serious crime.

Felon is a legal term. A person who has been found guilty of a serious crime like murder or rape is a felon. If it is proved in a court of law that a person has committed a very serious crime like a murder, manslaughter, or rape, they are a felon.

  • In spite of deterrent punishments, people who turn felons are increasing in number, as seen in the rise of the people sentenced for serious crimes.
  • Cold-blooded felons deserve the punishment they get, whereas those who become felons unintentionally or in self-defense should be given lenient punishment.
