fervid (adj) believing very strongly; showing strong feeling.

Your fervid interest in something is your very strong interest in it. Your strong belief in something is your fervid belief in it. For example, when you show real enthusiasm for serving the old and the weak, yours is fervid enthusiasm. When you are fervid about serving your country you feel strongly you should serve your country.
