flaccid (adj) soft, loose, and weak (usually of muscles and skin).

Flaccid muscles are soft, loosely hanging, and weak muscles. Such muscles are not firm and hard. Flaccid muscles, in other words, are flabby muscles, weak and soft. A flaccid body is the soft, wrinkled, and weak body of a sick or an old person.

  • As a young wrestler Michael had very tough muscles which were very hard and strong; now in his nineties, his body is flabby, and his muscles flaccid.
  • The aging pop star, once the glamour queen of filmdom, has lost all her charm with her cheeks flaccid and her face wrinkled.
