When a person is foolhardy they are reckless and take foolish risks. A foolhardy person is rash and never thinks of the bad consequences of their foolish risks.

  • It was totally foolhardy of the team to have attempted climbing up the mountain in such bad weather, and in spite of the warnings that the weather is likely to worsen in the coming hours.
