fructify (verb) (of trees and plants) bear fruit; cause to bear fruit.

When a tree bears fruit, it fructifies. A tree which starts bearing fruits begins to fructify. Flowers fructify if they turn fruit.

  • Different species of trees take different periods of time to fructify. Not all trees take the same time to bear fruit.
  • You have to wait patiently for the seed you have sown to sprout, grow into a tree and fructify, when you can enjoy its fruit. Sometimes the tree a member of one generation plants may yield fruit only in the next generation.
