gibe (verb) taunt; mock.
When you gibe at a person you mock at them by pointing out their mistakes and weaknesses. You make them look silly by showing that they have failed to be or to do something that they have claimed to be or to do. You gibe at people when you mention their failures in a mocking way and try to make them appear silly or foolish.
