This means that the lakeside scene is beautiful, very calm, ensuring peace of mind and happiness.

  • The picnic spot they chose was set in idyllic surroundings. It was a wooded area on the shores of a tranquil lake reflecting the beautiful blue of the sky.
  • The setting up of a factory not far from their settlement shattered their idyllic existence. They were justifiably worried that their peaceful and happy life would soon come to an end.
