When you are impassive you show no feeling or emotion, especially on your face. When you are impassive your face shows no expression and others do not know what your feelings are. Your face gives no indication of what is going on in our mind.
- The prisoner remained impassive as the judge read out his sentence condemning him to death. It was impossible to know what the convict's real feelings were.
