impervious (adj) unaffected or influenced by something and seeming to ignore it; not allowing liquid or gas to pass through.
When you are impervious to others' criticism you are not affected by it; you choose to ignore it as you have been criticized too often. You are impervious to others' opinion if you don't care what others think or say about you. A material not allowing gas or liquid to pass through it is impervious. It is impermeable. A waterproof material is impervious to water.
