imprudent (adj) unwise, especially with regard to money.

You are imprudent if you are unwise in managing your affairs. If you are imprudent, you are not careful how you manage your money mattes. You are imprudent in starting the production of a community which has no demand. Trying to sell things which are going out of fashion is imprudent, because you canít get profits.

  • One of the experts has warned him against investing all his money in one company but he was imprudent and put all his savings in one company. The company sustained losses and he lost all his money.
  • Harrison built a house borrowing a lot of money indiscriminately. By the time he completed the house he found himself up to his neck in debts, and he cursed his imprudence in borrowing so much.
