inception (noun) (of an organization, an institution) founding/establishment; beginning or start.

The inception of a university is its founding or its beginning of academic activity. ‘Since its inception in 1975 the university has had a rapid growth.’ This means that since it was founded in 1975, the university has made quick progress. The inception of a political party is the starting of a political party.

  • Klein wanted to establish a university in his father’s memory, but unfortunately, he died just fifteen days before its inception. Every one was naturally sad that the benefactor and founder was not present to see the start of the university.
  • The inception of the new political party was in reaction to the neglect of some groups in the old party by its leadership. The start of the new party received good support from all the discontented elements in the old party.
