industrious (adj) hard-working.

Only the industrious, that is, those who are hard working succeed in this world. Being industrious, that is, being willing to work hard and to be working hard, is a virtue. All successful persons have succeeded only because of their industry. The present millionaires have all come up only by being industrious. The ant is often quoted as an example of being industrious.

  • Samís industrious nature saw him through all the classes with very high grades. He is in this respect a contrast to his father, who is rather lazy.
  • While being industrious, one should have luck on their side too. We have a good number of people, who, in spite of their hard work, are not successful. We could explain this only as bad luck.
