infantile (adj) (of behavior and attitude) childish, silly; connected with very small children.
Infantile behavior is childish behavior in an adult and therefore improper. Infantile talk is the talk natural to a small child and is therefore not proper in an adult. Infantile obstinacy is the obstinacy that is typical of a small child and not to be expected in a grown up. Infantile disease is disease common to small children. Infantile colic, for example, is the stomach ache usual among small children.
