When someone infiltrates into an organization or a country, they enter the organization or the country secretly to find out information about it and use it to destroy it or harm it. Rebel forces or spies infiltrate into a country to get information that can be used against it. Some times police infiltrate into gangster organizations to get information about them and put an end to them. That is, policemen enter the organizations secretly and get all information about them.
- During the Cold War period agents of CIA of the US infiltrated into a number of enemy organizations. They were largely successful in passing off as members of the organizations and in getting crucial information about them.
