inimitable (adj) matchless; unequalled.
When a person’s performance or greatness cannot be imitated with the same effect, the person is inimitable. Shakespeare was inimitable as a dramatist; that is, no one else can write as great plays as he, even if they copy him. It is Impossible to copy or imitate him. A player’s style of play is inimitable, if no one can copy them and play as well as they. The inimitable Michael Jackson means that he has own style of dancing which others find impossible to copy with the same effect.
