insensate (adj) not able to feel; stupid or foolish.

An insensate person is a person without feelings. They do not care about others' feelings. Insensate persons are stupid and foolish. They are not capable of feeling anything.

  • While his subjects were crying for food, the insensate monarch reveled with his courtiers in his palace. He just did not care to know what happened to his subjects.
  • Harry was insensate to the feelings of his wife and children, who were totally dependant on him. He would not spend even a minute to think of their welfare. That prompted his wife to seek a divorce.
