You integrate two or more things when you combine them in a way that they all work together smoothly or efficiently as a system. You integrate sports, co-curricular, extracurricular and academic activities if you make all of them the important parts of an education system. A person integrates into a society if they join in the life and customs of the society they live in and the society accepts them as a member of it. Ending the separation of races in a society by making such a separation illegal is to integrate.
