A judicious decision is taken very carefully and sensibly after a lot of thought. A judicious choice is a wise choice. A judicious use of a thing is a proper use of it. A judicious person is one who thinks carefully and wisely.

  • John was very judicious in the selection of the site for his new house. The price was moderate, the locality very calm and peaceful, and the neighborhood, pleasant. His wife congratulated him on his wise choice.
  • Ann's decision to switch her career from management to teaching was really judicious. Her temperament was more suited to a sedentary job, and she was not the type to withstand the stress of a managerial job.
