Languor overtakes a person if not having anything to do, they feel lazy and tired. A pleasant feeling of tiredness and a lack of energy, sometimes, is languor. When you are in no mood to work, because you are tired and unenergetic, you experience languor.

  • Henry was going through a period of languor the whole of the afternoon. He felt tired and weak though he enjoyed the condition a little.
  • The long vacation filled him with languor. He had nothing to do, and that made him feel lazy and weak. Especially in the afternoons, he felt languor stealing over him.
