A mangy dog suffers from a disease which makes it lose small areas of fur or hair on its body. Mangy animals look ugly with the loss of their hair or fur in small areas on their bodies gone. A mangy old blanket is a dirty old blanket. Mangy clothes are dirty clothes in bad condition and cannot be used any longer.
