Misadventure is a happening resulting from bad luck or by accident. If while trying to climb up a hill, you slip and fall, you have a misadventure. Any risky activity might cause a misadventure. That is, any deed, involving risk might lead to accidents. Such accidents are misadventures. Unexpected bad happenings, often because of bad luck, are misadventures.
