miscreant (noun) bad person, one who causes troubles to others.

A miscreant is a villain. A miscreant is an evil person who causes trouble to others. 'Miscreants burgled his house when he was away.' This means some bad persons entered his house when he was away and stole things from it.

  • People were surprised when the judge let off the miscreant with a short jail term. They expected for the serious crime of attacking others for money, he would get a more severe punishment.
  • When they saw the team they had betted on was losing, the miscreants ran into the ground and beat up the opposite team players.
