A misdemeanor is a bad or wrong action that is not very serious. A minor crime is a misdemeanor. A misdemeanor deserves only a light punishment. Cheating people of small amounts of money, lying, or disobeying elders in small matters, are examples of misdemeanors.

  • Some parents are cruel enough to beat their children for even childish misdemeanors. Children, after all, are children, and it is inhuman to punish them for their not so serious wrongdoings.
