A pariah is an outcast, that is, a person who is avoided by everyone in the society. The society does not accept him and does not have anything to do with him. A pariah is regarded as one who does not deserve to be a member of the society. In certain tribes even today, a person who talks to or has dealings with people outside the tribe are treated as pariahs; that is, they are avoided by all the others in the society. No one talks to them, moves with them, or does anything with them.
