perspicacious (adj) able to judge and understand people correctly.

You are perspicacious if you can understand quickly and accurately somebody or a situation correctly. Perspicacious people are able to imagine in advance changes that might take place, or how people are likely to react to certain situations. A perspicacious remark is a remark which shows one’s clear understanding of a situation.

  • Being very perspicacious, he was able to understand that the company he was employed in was sinking, and immediately chose an alternative job.
  • It requires a person to be perspicacious to be successful. A quick understanding and proper judgment are the essentials of successful people.
