A philanthropist expresses their love of fellow humans by their liberal donations of money to help the poor and those in need. A philanthropist helps the poor and those in need especially by giving money. Nelson Rockefeller and Andrew Carnegie were great philanthropists, because they donated liberally to help the poor and the suffering.

  • Philanthropists usually establish charitable foundations which regularly help the poor and the diseased by making large donations of money and material.
  • He donated a major part of his estate for the service of the born blind and deaf, though by doing so he was left with a fraction of what he had earned. This shows his philanthropy.
