physiological (adj) connected with the study of the functions of living beings.

Physiological causes are the causes connected with the functions of the bodies of living beings. A physiological cause for the illness of a person is the wrong functioning of some part of the body or the other being the cause of the illness. A physiological abnormality is the unusual functioning of the body of the living being.

  • The doctors after close examination could find no physiological cause for the illness, as every part of the body was functioning normally.
  • His disease is more psychological than physiological. Everything is normal about the body; only, he seems to be excessively worried about something.
