provident (adj) planning carefully for future especially finances
You are provident if you are careful in planning for the future, especially by saving money for your old age and sickness. A person who is economical and builds up enough savings for the needy day is provident. Otherwise they are improvident. A person who is provident doesn’t waste money but saves it for the future.
- He had a carefully laid plan for his plan. He was provident enough to save a part of his salary every month and invested it cleverly. He has a worry free retired life as he has enough money to live comfortably.
