When a plant ramifies it develops branches. Branches and sub branches grow out of it. When a situation ramifies it develops complicated and unforeseen consequences. When an important decision is taken, it may ramify, that is, it may have certain unexpected and complicated results.

  • Some kinds of plants ramify and grow to be large and tall. They develop branches far and wide.
  • The hasty decisions they took affected not only them but also those having nothing to do with the decision. They never thought that the situation would ramify like that.
